How to clean and care for plush toys?
Plush Stuffed Toys
Plush stuffed toys are the most common type, made from soft materials. They are machine washable; place the toy in a laundry bag or pillowcase. Wash using a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent; avoid bleach or fabric softeners. Toys with decorations or delicate parts should be hand washed. Submerge the toy in a basin of lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent. Gently press to remove stains, then rinse thoroughly. Do not twist or rub when squeezing out excess water. After washing, lay flat on a towel and air-dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or dryers. Once dry, gently brush the plush with a soft-bristled brush.

Hand Puppets
Hand puppets are typically made of polyester fiber and plush fabric, often featuring embroidery or moving parts. To preserve details, hand washing is recommended. Use lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent, gently pressing to clean without vigorous rubbing. For small stains, dab with a cloth dampened in diluted detergent solution, then blot dry with a clean cloth. After washing, carefully reshape the toy and air-dry naturally. Never wring dry or expose to direct sunlight to prevent deformation.

Knitted Toys
Knitted toys are often handmade with delicate structures and generally cannot be machine-washed. Clean using lukewarm water and mild detergent: submerge the toy, gently press to remove dirt, then rinse thoroughly. Avoid wringing or rubbing to prevent stretching or fiber damage. After washing, lay flat on a towel, reshape, and air-dry in a cool, well-ventilated area. For routine maintenance, use a lint roller or low-power vacuum to remove dust and keep fibers clean.

Pet Toys
Pet toys require regular cleaning due to frequent use and constant exposure to saliva and dirt. Most are made of polyester fiber, with some containing plush fabric. Plush toys should be hand-washed in warm water using pet-specific detergent and thoroughly air-dried to prevent mold growth. Rubber or silicone toys can be cleaned with soapy water and, if suitable, placed on the top rack of a dishwasher. Inspect toys for damage after each wash. Replace immediately if stuffing is exposed or edges become sharp to ensure pet safety.

Avoid bleach or harsh cleaning agents.
